Week 1 -

It's our first week of class for the subject Digital Fine Art Photography and by now I'm feeling anxious and keyed up to begin this path :)

I enjoy taking photos however I do feel that I'll face many challenges for example using the Mac computers and its remarkable programs. I don't feel too confident enough to use them however I do hope that I find my way in developing some great skills in using one. I also desire to explore and build up in taking good shots using a camera and to do this, I would need to take many shots otherwise forget about developing in these skills. "... To be a photographer, one must photograph. No amount of book learning, no checklist of seminars attended, can substitute for the simple act of making pictures. Experience is the best teacher of all. And for that, there are no guarantees that one will become an artist. Only the journey matters...: - Harry Callihan.

Just to include something little, I was very privileged to spend the summer in Turkey last year in the year 2009. Throughout my stay in Turkey, I took a lot of photos of here and there. This helped me gain a little confidence in taking reasonable shots for a person who hardly carries a camera in their hand. So, during this blog, you will get a chance to see a very few of the pictures that have been taken of Turkey by me.

Whilst uploading photos onto my blog, I hope that these images will encourage and give ideas to my class mates.

The images shown above are some of the photos that I took of Turkey while I was away...
